LADIES DAY : Traffic System To Be Used To Handle Volume Of People

Residents and race goers are reminded that a system will be in place from 4pm to cope with the departing traffic.

With over 10,000 people expected to flock to Beverley Races Ladies Day , outside the racecourse will operate as a one way street.

From 4pm York Road will become one way only, and all departing traffic must turn towards the Dog Kennel Lane roundabout and the A1079, away from Beverley.

Kate McKee from Beverley Races said;

“There’ll be lots of signs and hopefully this should help ease congestion. We ask all racegoers to use the designated exits from the car-parks, especially on the Westwood.”

“Exiting over the rear of the Westwood is actually unlawful, and the Police can fine you as a byelaw is in place to forbid this!”
