Changing Times At The Beverley Conservative Club

Kevin and Wendy Maskill are fast approaching one year as Steward and Stewardess of the Beverley Conservative Club.

Both Kevin and Wendy are delighted with how things are going and are as equally pleased about their relocation from to Beverley, a place they have always wanted to live and work.

Wendy said; “We have always wanted to come to Beverley, around 15 years ago we were offered Nellie’s but the time was not right. Beverley is like a mini York and the lifestyle, here is better than Leeds. Since we have moved to Beverley, we have enjoyed a very warm welcome, and the staff here are brilliant.”

The couple made the move after spending 10 years working for the East Riding FA. Wendy’s passion for food is matched by Kevin’s for beer making for the perfect combination for members of the club who are enjoying an expanded menu and great beer.

Kevin said; “It has taken me some time, but I am finally getting the Cellar how I want it, which seems to be going down well with the customers. In the future, I am hoping to bring a few guest ales to add to an already good selection of drinks.”

Good-quality home-cooked food and a decent pint is also helping to bring new members to the club that boasts some of the best tables in the town. The expansion and enhancements made to the menu is proving very popular.

Wendy said; “We have had very pleasant feedback about the new menu. Everything we serve is fresh and home cooked, and we put on a good traditional Sunday Lunch. We have added a number of new dishes made Aberdeen Angus Beef.”

On the 11th April, the Beverley Conservative Club will host the annual dart’s night that raises money for the charity NURSE.  The night will see close to a hundred local darts players compete and a chance for many to get their first taste of life and the food at the club.
