Plenty Of Positives For Braves Despite Losing To East Hull

For the second week running the Beverley Braves just came up short, but despite the loss can take many positives out of the game and look forward to the rest of the season with confidence and belief.

The Braves can play much better than this but still pushed all the way with some outstanding performances from many including Owen Miller, Will Cohen and and the rampaging before the latter unfortunately retired early, due to a dead leg.

With Shamus Blades and halves Joe McCabe and Charlie Gay pulling the strings Beverley played some good especially in the second stanza with Olly Adamson and Ellis Gaden making some decent yardage along with Adam Greenwood who also impressed down the middle.

The problem was the Braves could not manage to complete enough sets to worry their opposition too much, turning over far too much ball and against the top teams you just can’t afford to do that often.

Despite a great Jack Dixon try the Braves could not manage to get over the line again, although coming very close on a number of occasions and with 20 seconds to go east Hull slipped over again to blow out the scoreline slightly which Beverley didn’t really deserve.

So lots of positives but also lots to work on.

Coach Craig Collins said;

“Try. Fail. Try again. Fail again. Try again. Fail Better. Try again. Succeed.”
