Rangers Go Top With Comprehensive Home Win

Molescroft Rangers continued their good run of form with a 4 – 0 win at the Leisure Centre over Middleton Rovers.

Rangers have won each of their four matches since their opening-day defeat and are not top of the East Riding County League.

Goals from Joe Coates, , Danny Nichols and an own goal were enough to secure the points for the home side.

Ranger’s boss James Healey told after the game;

“This was a good a performance again by the lads, not only have we won, but we have kept a clean sheet.”

Next weekend, Rangers will face a much tougher test as they take on the Lord Nelson in the derby, Healey added;

“I am under no illusions here. Nelson will be a big test for us and one of the hardest games we play all season. If we come away with something that will be a bonus.”

This win should give Rangers a massive boost going into the derby but there is no question the Lord Nelson remains firm favourites to win the game.
