AFC Tickton Bulldogs

The Bulldogs played their first game at fortress . In blustery conditions Captain played his usual solid game at the back, but also bringing the ball confidently out of defence and setting his midfield on the attack.

Cavan McGee was first to benefit neatly turning his defender but his shot went inches wide, then Emrah Railton with some magical footwork unlocked the Panthers defence Cavan McGee was again on hand to latch on to his pass but again his ferocious shot was agonisingly wide. Not to be outdone the Panthers came back at the Bulldogs with some fancy footwork of their own but Jay Halliday was on hand to make a terrific cover tackle.

The second half man of the match Ryan Flanagan entered the game pulling out of the bag a fantastic defensive performance making space for Emrah Railton and Sam Hunter to combine and send away the impressive Bailey Young who thundered his shot into the back of the net.

Joe Pringle then held the ball up bravely and sent Sam Hunter on goal but the Panthers keeper made a great save. The Panthers never gave in and got their reward with a well worked move that left their striker free on goal he then smashed in the equaliser.

Jacob Kemp was thrown into the game and made an immediate effect chasing down the Panthers attackers and gaining control of midfield, he then sent an inch perfect pass to Bailey Young who blasted in his shot to win the game for the Bulldogs.

The second game was a real end to end affair with Thomas Knight making some heroic challenges at the back ably assisted by Ryan Hitchen in goal who commanded his area like a gladiator in an arena but it was Panthers not Lions he was repelling still they attacked and it was a combination of Flanagan and Hitchen that scrambled the ball away to the hard working Thomas Smith who stampeded at the Panthers defence making space for Jacob Kemp who boomed his shot narrowly wide.

Kester Holwell charged onto the field making tackle after tackle but still no team could break the deadlock.

The final half saw Will Dearing having an awesome game at the back clearing his line strongly this gave the midfield masses of space of which Sam Hunter working skilfully with Jay Halliday excelled in, creating chance after chance for the Hit-man Bailey Young to fire in on goal but the elusive winner would not come and the game ended in a very fair and respectable draw.
