Rushby Sets New Personal Best At Mollory Park

Jordan Rushby enjoyed a successful weekend at Mallory Park with the youngster getting onto the podium on both Saturday and Sunday.

At a meeting that saw both extremes of weather from rain through to glorious Sunshine Rushby showed his class as he claimed two-second places.

Rushby also set new personal bests as he pushed the current championship leader all the way.

Things may have been different for the Beverley rider on day two who was leading in his race until he was passed by BSB rider Dean Brown, who was making a guest appearance on a SV650.

The pair battled it out both lapping in 56 seconds but the more experience Brown was just too quick with a one second separating the riders as they took the chequered flag.

As a result of the first race of the day Rushby and Brown started along side each other on the grid, but a poor start left Rushby playing catch up and the experience of Brown. However, Rushby’s persistence saw him claim another second place capping of a fine weekend of racing.

Rushby said;

“Overall this has been a v very a good weekend. I have certainly learnt a lot and feel I am improving every time I get on a bike. I would like to thank all my sponsors for their continued and am looking forward to the next meeting.”
