Light Blues Win Ladies Title At Rowley Park Polo Club

 

Rowley Park Polo club held their first ladies tournament since the formation of the new club.

The light blues took on the dark blues competing in six chuckers on a glorious afternoon.

Club manager George Carter told HU17.net;

“We are really pleased with how the day has gone. It was the first ladies event we have held.”

“There was a very good turn out too from people lending their support today, which just added to the occasion.”

Rowley Polo Club is holding further events later in the year. The next one is in July, George said;

“Our club is very different, although I am the manager the club is owned by members and run by members.”

“I like to think that we are the best-kept secret in polo world.”

The club does have big plans but for now they are focusing on letting it grown organically. They have secured a number of key sponsors, including big names like Hull City.
