St Mary’s Church, Beverley is holding an open day this coming Saturday from 10 am until 4pm
Throughout the day there will be live music, a massive BBQ, fresh coffee, cream teas and craft stalls.
There will be plenty to do for all the family, for the children a treasure hunt has been organised and there will also be crafts, games, a bouncy castle, roving magician and face painting.
For the grown ups there will be access to the tower and historical priest’s rooms, secret rooms holding all sorts of unusual artefacts as well as the rest of St Mary’s church, which is one of the finest parish churches in Britain.
The day is ideal for all the family and giving visitors the chance to enjoy the ancient architecture, marvell at the glorious ceilings which depict the night sky and the Kings of England.
