Ian Watson spring cup road race took place at Scarborough’s at Oliver’s Mount race circuit.
The good weather helped to attract a large crowd that was treated to some fine racing. The event held races throughout the day ranching from 250cc to over 600cc categories, and with riders from Hull, Beverley, Driffield, our area was well represented.
One of the biggest names to the Circuit was Guy Martin riding the Tas Suzuki 1000GSXR,(BIKE No4) those not familiar with bike racing may recognize Guy Martin form the BBC program ‘The Boat Guy Built’ and channel 4s ‘How Britain was Built’ he also make a film about the Isle of Man TT race called ‘Closer to the Edge’ that was filmed in 3D.
