Cottingham Cricket Club beat a mixed Beverley Town Cricket Club in a pre season friendly at the Norwood Recreation Ground, the visitors opened the batting and scored 255-7.
15 year old Brad Graham the pick of Beverley’s bowlers three wickets. In reply Beverley scored 172-4, Tony Spence 53 not out, Paul Fleming 35, the main run scorers.
A good game played in good spirit, the league season starts next Saturday with all 4 teams in action with the 1st team at home to York 2nds at the 4ths at home to Skirlaugh.
