Tigers Share Spoils With Anlaby Road Rangers

Using an attacking formation in the first match, AFC Tickton managed to use all of the pitch as they squared up to . With a fine cross from Jack Thompson on the right wing, Robbie Wainright tipped one in passed the courageous goalie.

With the AFC Tickton goalie, Ben Smith resilient against attempts on goal from Anlaby’s Nathen Bland and Dilan Fowler, action was again in the other half when Dan Mansfield won a penalty. The penalty was well taken by Dan, giving AFC Tickton another well-deserved goal 2-0.

Confident now, AFC Tickton looked solid in defence with Aiden Burgess and Tom Stephenson at the helm, only couple of shots from Anlaby at goal gave AFC Tickton’s outstanding goalie anything to worry about. 2-0

With the mist getting denser for game two, the teams were eager to kick off. Changes to defence for AFC Tickton saw George Young, and Daniel Babbs come on and Tom pushed up on the left wing.

The pairing of Dan’s centre midfield and Fabien Vidal with Sam Jackson right wing proved a headache for the Anlaby defence, with Sam providing his trademark crosses from out wide. With a flurry of passes, Anlaby managed to break down the AFC Tickton defence and Nathen Bland managed to score. With Anlaby defending well, the AFC Tickton midfield could not equilze.

Second half kicked off with the pace, which saw Anlaby bag another goal, Nathen being the scorer from a well-taken corner. Despite this AFC Tickton were unruffled and continued to try and find a goal, with a great display from everyone it was to be unfortunate for AFC Tickton 0-2.
