Cougars Looking To Develop Basketball In Beverley

Beverley Cougars is a sport community club that is looking to develop within Beverley and the surrounding areas. We want players of all ages and ability to come to our session and have fun. They welcome players who want to compete and others who are just interested in training.

The goals of the club are; to provide a fun atmosphere so that players can socialise with other with similar interest and hobbies. Also to partake in the local league and develop players.

Beverley has not had a basketball team for a few years. They are using the old team name to reach out to the ex players to have a range of players new and experienced. The coach Steven Lindsey has played in the local league and also performed at national league level in Nottingham. He has over 6 years experience coaching a variety of sport but basketball is where his heart is.

Steven Lindsey developed the Higher Education and Further Education Basketball league. The club will work alongside the Humber Sport Partnership, to provide the players with all the support and guidance they need to give them the best opportunities.

The co-coach is Jon Parker who has developed basketball in a range of areas and he is the original coach and founder of the Beverley Cougars. Coach Jon has developed most of the players and coaches in the East Riding Area this including current national league players and coaches.

Training is on Fridays 6-8 and cost £2.00 session it will be hosted at Bevrley Longcroft School , Burton Road, Beverley, HU17 7EH. Everyone Welcome.
