The Beverley Building Society continued its support for the local community last week by sponsoring the Driffield Show’s Main Ring and Activity Arena.
A large proportion of the Beverley Building Society’s customer base are from the area, giving the chance for staff to meet some of the Society’s most loyal members.
Two such members being Mr. and Mrs. Bugg (pictured attached) who have had an account with the Beverley Building Society for more than fifty years. The couple have since become firm advocates of the Beverley Building Society and have encouraged many family members to open accounts.
Peter Myers, Chief Executive of Beverley Building Society said;
“The Beverley Building Society has been part of the East Yorkshire community for 146 years. As the Driffield Show is a premier event in the local calendar, we were very keen to both provide financial support, and also to have our own stand. Feedback from both members and non-members has been excellent”.
The Society took an active part in the Show with a stand for visitors to get involved with the Society’s Charity of the Month competition.
The competition invites members to vote for a local charity of which the winner receives a £250 donation. At the Driffield Show visitors were asked to suggest a charity to be entered into September’s competition; suggestions included the Echoes Foundation and the Dove House – Love you 2 appeal.
The Beverley Building Society is East Yorkshire’s only independent building society and has been proudly supporting the local community since 1866.
