Top Bloom Judges Cast Their Expert Eye Over Beverley

 

Judges from Yorkshire in Bloom were this week given a tour of Beverley that saw then visit schools and town centre locations.

Roger Burnett, Joy Smith were taken around Beverley by Mayor of Beverley Cllr Margaret Pinder, Cllr Peter Astell, Chris Dawson and the town clerk Helen Watson.

Beverley will go up against four other places, Goole, Pontefract, Pudsey and Ripon.

Chris Dawson, who will step down this year as chair of Beverley in Bloom as he retires said;

“Judges have to judge six places in a year; Roger is a member of the Yorkshire in Bloom execeative and also a senior judge in Britain in Bloom; he also has a place on the R.H.S. advisory panel in London, So Beverley was judged by a very important person in the in bloom world!”
