Youth Café To Hold Royal Themed Night

Beverley Minster will host a Royal Youth Café on Friday 1 June, to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

The Youth Café which regularly attracts 200-300 young people from the three secondary schools in Beverley, is hoping to celebrate the occasion with style. Beverley Minster is hoping hundreds of teenagers will come dressed either as members of the royal family, or as royal military guardsmen. The church will be transformed into a street party environment, with union jack flags decorating the stage.

A patriotic atmosphere will be encouraged by young talent, including DJ Ciaran who attends Longcroft School in Beverley. Along with our usual giant bouncy castle & gladiator jousting, the Youth Café team is hoping the night will be particularly special, as the event also celebrates its sixth birthday.

Since its launch in 2006, the Youth Café has seen over 10,000 young people through its doors, serving the needs of young people in Beverley.

Tickets £2.50 will be sold from Monday 21 May at all three secondary school libraries.
