Molescroft Rangers in the words of boss James Healey ‘Unlucky’ this afternoon as they lost to Bridlington Academy at the Beverley Leisure Centre.
The visitors stormed into the lead inside 2 minutes before adding a second before the half time break.
Rangers however came out fighting in the second half pulling gaol back through Mike Nicholson penalty.
Despite their best efforts Rangers were unable to beat the Bridlington keeper who pulled of a string of fine saves.
Defeat has little effect on Molescroft Rangers position in the East Riding County League.
Healey will be hopeful his side take their second half performance into next week’s cup class as Molescroft Rangers face Hodgsons FC Reserves in the Dean Cup at the Beverley Leisure Centre.
The Tanner will need to regroup ahead of the match and will be looking to bounce back from today’s defeat at Driffield Rangers.
Final Score: Molescroft Rangers 1 Bridlington Academy 2
