Posa Calls For More Shape And Belief As Beavers Resume In Cheshire

RUFC re-commence their National League 3(North) campaign this Saturday, after the Christmas and New Year break, with a visit to Cheshire club Lymm RFC.

Lymm have proven themselves to be a bit of a bogey side for the Beavers, who have yet to record a victory over the energetic Lymm outfit. In the corresponding fixture at Beverley way back in September, the Beavers were a little unlucky, picking up three serious long term injuries.

This fact is in no way any reflection on the Lymm side, for all three were complete accidents but, nevertheless, they have had an effect on Beverley’s season since. Happily two of the three injured players are now fit again to take their places in the squad for Saturday.

Head coach Anthony Posa said today;

“We have continued to train over the holiday but it has been a little difficult with so many players away.”

“However, those who managed to be here have trained well and it is nice to have some options now with regard to selections.”

“We need to start picking up points on our travels, if we are not to become cast adrift at the foot of the table.”

“I am looking to put the first half of the season behind us and start on Saturday to play with more shape and belief in ourselves.”

Still out through injury are , Matty Adams and Tony Riby-French
