Beverley Minster Christmas Tree Festival 2011

The is to put on quite a display during their tree festival on the 9th, 10th and 11th December.

The festival will display over fifty trees which are sponsored by local businesses and public figures such as Specsavers, the and the Mayor of Beverley.

The trees will be decorated either by the sponsors themselves or by local community groups who have been asked to help, such as Her Breast Friends, Hull.

There will be a prize for the best tree, and on the Saturday of the festival there will also be a children’s quiz trail and a florist giving demonstrations.

There will also be a concert on the Saturday evening with bible readings from celebrity Anna Maxwell Martin and carols with the Mister and Barton Town Band.

Tickets for this are available from the Beverley Tourist Information Centre and the Parish Centre. For more information visit www.beverleyminster.org.uk

With an entrance fee of just £2, including a programme, this is set to be a great event and a spectacular spectacle against the background of the already stunning Minster.

It is a fantastic way to get into the festive spirit, support the local community and with plans for another festival again next year it looks set to become a new Christmas tradition for Beverley.
