Molescroft U11s End Season With 8-0 Springhead Demolition Job

Molescroft FC under-11s completed the 2010/11 season with a fantastic 8-0 victory against Springhead under 11s at Longcroft School.

With the league title secured in the previous match,  it would have been excused if the Molescroft players had taken the foot off the throttle and taken this fixture lightly – but not so.

All the players have been a credit to the manager and coaching staff this season with a lot of players in there first season playing for a football team.

Molescroft started brightly with the midfield of Nevis, Suddaby, Edmonds, Good and Kaczmarek causing the Springhead midfield and defence no end of problems.

Molescroft took the lead when a surging run on the right by Bartek Kaczmarek saw him breal clear of the defence and the winger finished well past the Springhead keeper.

Springhead hit a few high balls at Molescroft but the defence of Nixey, Portz, Miller and Whitham have been in great form recently and cleared up anything that came their way.

Molescroft extended their lead when a great through-ball from Tom Nixey in defence sent Sam Nevis clear oand he scored with a clinical finish.

A third soon followed when the tireless Ben Richardson set up Nevis.

The fourth and best goal of the game came down the left when some fine interplay between Suddaby, Richardson and Edmonds sent Kieran Good clear in the box and the midfield player finished in some style for a 4-0interval lead.

In the second half, Molescroft played with the same desire with Kaczmarek adding his second with a rocket of a finish. He soon completed his hat-trick with a well-placed finish low in the bottom corner.

Matthew Tuttle, Edmonds and Good were giving the Springhead team no time on the ball when in possession.

Molescroft added a seventh when a mazy run from Kaczmarek was crossed brilliantly for Nevis to complete his hat-trick.

Molescroft FC made a series of second-half substitutions with Scott Watson and David Heffron coming into the back four both, players giving good performances at full-back.

Molescroft completed the scoring late in the game when an unstoppable free-kick from Kieran Good was smashed into the top of the net from 25yrds, giving the Springhead keeper no chance.

Men of the match of the match were Sam Nevis and Bartek Kaczmarek for their hat-tricks.
