Browns of Beverley Light Up for their 1st Birthday

Over 100 guests flocked to Browns of Beverley to help celebrate its first birthday, in aid of the Beverley Christmas Lights Appeal.

Models from the store’s own staff put on a flamboyant show of the collections for spring/summer.

Louise Grant, store manager says:

“This was our second sell-out fashion show which raised £1000 from ticket sales and the raffle for the Beverley Christmas Lights Appeal. We love inviting our customers to the store for an evening of fashion entertainment. My staff were fantastic models, showing how the garments can be worn by ‘real-women’ no matter what age or size.”

“We have had a great year at Browns. I am thrilled to be celebrating our first birthday and feel like we’re making a positive contribution to the town. It is really important that we do all we can to attract people into the town centre and this is the reason we support the Beverley Christmas Lights Appeal.”

Prue Blake from the Beverley Christmas Lights Committee says:

“Browns have been fantastic in supporting the Christmas lights. We know that the lights give a boost to visitors and without the support from our traders, Beverley would be a dull place at Christmas.”

“Louise and her team work very hard for the fashion show, not only modelling and selecting the garments but also preparing canapés which were served with champagne, hiring chairs and rearranging the store to accommodate over one hundred guests, so that we could all enjoy the fund-raiser in comfort.”
