This morning pupils from Molescroft Primary School and Keldmarsh Primary School held a special Armistice Day assembly in Hengate Gardens.
At 11am the teachers, pupils and veterans stood in silence for two minutes as a mark of respect those who have died while serving their country.
After the assembly the Mayor of Beverley, Bessie Foot came to Hengate Gardens to meet with members of The Royal British Legion that included the County Chairman for the East Riding of Yorkshire Alan Higbee MBE.
