Archibald Likely to Return for Trip to Bradford

Beverley RUFC Vs Sheffield Tigers make the relatively short journey to Bradford on Saturday where they take on in the National League 3 North fixture.

They will need to improve on their showing of last week when they came second best to a physical side which bullied them from start to finish. Beverley could not obtain any satisfactory set piece ball and the 24-36 scoreline rather flattered them. It was, by a distance, their worst performance of the season- so bad that the faithful put it down to a one off “bad day at the office.” However, the Beavers are now only one point above the relegation zone thanks to their ability to pick up bonus points but they must start winning and collecting 4 points per game.

Saturday is likely to be tough though since, Bradford have had a fluctuating season so far but last week beat league pacesetters Chester convincingly.

Tony Riby-French has concussion following last weeks encounter and will miss the game. is still recovering from eye surgery and winger Goran Jelencic is still on international duty in Slovenia.

New comer James Stephenson steps in for Riby-French with Rob Todd making a welcome return at hooker, having been sidelined since breaking his arm at the start of last season.

Chris Infield picked up an injury to his ankle in training on Tuesday and Ian Archibald is also likely to return after suffering a broken arm last season, in his place.
