Beverley Lions Bonfire Night: Traffic Plans

A management plan has been put in place around Beverley for bonfire night.

This will involve part closures of Keldgate Road, and Road, which will reduce the availability of parking nearby.

To reduce congestion visitors to the Beverley Lions bonfire are advised to use town centre car parks in Beverley which are all free after 6pm.

The following road closures will be in effect:

1    Walkington Road / Westwood Road closed to east bound traffic into Beverley from the Keldgate Road Junction (opposite the golf club entrance) to Albert Terrace from 6pm until 7.30pm. From 7.30pm these roads will be completely closed to all traffic until 9.30pm.

2    Cartwright Lane/Keldgate Road will be closed to westbound traffic from 6pm to 9.30 pm between the Thurstan Road/Sloe Lane crossroads to the junction with Walkington Road  (Opposite the golf club entrance).

Vehicles entering Cartwright Lane from the Queensgate roundabout will be diverted either along Sloe Lane or Thurston Road.

Limited parking will be available only along the southern verge of Keldgate Road between the golf course entrance and the top end of Cartwright Lane, also:

Limited parking will be allowed along both sides of Walkington Road north of the gate house to the junction opposite the golf club entrance

These measures are necessary to maintain public safety of visitors to the bonfire.

Please note that as ever anyone wishing to park their vehicles along the highways or verges around the Westwood does so entirely at their own risk.
