Road reconstruction works at Hengate, Beverley, which were scheduled to be carried out this Sunday 1 November have been called off because of the bad weather forecast.
The roadworks, which include resurfacing around half of the junction on New Walkergate/Manor Road at the end of Hengate, started on Sunday, 11 October and were scheduled for seven consecutive Sundays.
However, the works are well ahead of schedule and missing this Sunday is unlikely to alter the original finishing date.
The works were not scheduled in for 8 November as this is Remembrance Sunday and access to Hengate is needed for the parades, so the works will resume on Sunday, 15 November.
