The all new Beverley Football team The Humber Colts are set for the new season as they prepare for their first competitive game this Sunday against the Hull City Supporters.
Rob Hunter the clubs chairman was optimistic about the forthcoming game and is confident the team can get off to a flying start. The team have had a mixed pre season with results on the pitch going their way winning five out five of their pre season matches.
Off the pitch however the club has faced a tough battle to secure the right to play football on the playing field, with the support of local MP Graham Stuart and the council the team finally secured a home pitch at Long Marsh.
Rob Hunter told HU17.net “The pitch is big, it measures 100 meters in length and is around 60 meters wide, this suits our team as the lads are fit having worked hard pre season”
