2011 Humberside and Lincolnshire Orienteering Championships

The local orienteering club HALO (Humberside and Lincolnshire Orienteers) held it’s annual championships on Saturday October 15th on Beverley Westwood amidst glorious sunshine. Beverley Urban Orienteering Race

The heat on Sunday didn’t stop runners posting some very fast times through the streets and alleyways of Beverley. Over 100 competitors took part, with experienced Orienteers travelling from as far afield as Coventry, Middlesborough and Manchester, for this the second running of the Beverley Urban Orienteering Race. Local Runners Maintain Dominance

The second round of Orienteering’s East Yorkshire Short Race Series took place on Saturday (21st May).  Organised by Humberside and Lincolnshire Orienteers (HALO), the event consisted of two races of 3km with a handicapped start calculated for the second race. Local Runners Dominate in Exciting Finishes

Only seconds separated the leaders in the first race in this year’s East Yorkshire Short Race Orienteering Series.
