As the nation gets in shape for the Sport Relief weekend, three bloggers from East Yorkshire and one that has been borrowed from Lancashire are making up a team to cover a regional section of a UK-wide relay in a bid to raise £20,000 for Sport Relief.
Staff At Kings Head Raise Over £800 For Children In Need
Staff at the Kings Head Pub raised over £800 for Children in Need by cycling the equivalent of Lands End to John O Groats on an exercise bike. A bike was set up in the Beverley boozer and for five days the team at the Kings Head took it in turns racking up an incredible 1057KM. Two Walkington lads are stepping up the their training as they prepare for a challenging two-day, cross-Britain charity bike ride. Ben Stephenson, 21, a self-employed joiner and his mate James Parkinson, 31, are cycling from Blackpool to Bridlington on June 17 and 18 to raise money for The British Heart Foundation and the Walkington Hayride.
