Submit Your Art For A Chance To Exhibit At Ferens Art Gallery

Submissions are now being accepted for Ferens Art Galley’s annual showcase, the Open Exhibition.

This year’s Open, the 54th, is set to launch at the Ferens Art Gallery in July and run until October.

The Open Exhibition showcases a diverse range of talent and is open to painters, drawers, photographers, sculptors, ceramicists, as well as performance, textile or digital artists.

Councillor Brabazon, chair of Hull Culture and Leisure, said: “The Open Exhibition is always one of the highlights of the Ferens calendar.

“It is a fantastic way for young and established artists to showcase their work in one of the region’s most prestigious galleries.

“The Open always highlights the tremendous and exciting artistic talent we have in our region and I’m sure this year will be no different.”

The submission period runs from Monday 15 February until midnight on Sunday 7 March. Submissions should be made on the Hull Culture and Leisure website.

Entries cost £5 per artwork and an artist can submit up to three artworks. More information about the exhibition and how to submit work can be found on the Hull Culture and Leisure website.

A panel of judges will select between 200 and 300 pieces that will appear at this year’s Open. Successful artists, as well as having the opportunity to showcase their work at Ferens Art Gallery, will have the chance to win cash prizes and sell their work.

The 54th Open Exhibition is set to launch at Ferens Art Gallery on Saturday 24 July.
