Jimmy White ‘The Peoples Champion’ Is Coming To Beverley

Beverley C Club will be welcoming one of the biggest names to grace the game of snooker.  Jimmy White and John Virgo are set to appear at the  Wylies Road club.

Known as The Whirlwind, six times world championship finalist Jimmy White will also be taking on some local players.

Keith Saunders from the Beverley C Club certainly thinks this is something snooker fans should not miss, he said;

“We have a few events lined up for the coming weeks including the visit of Jimmy White and John Virgo. They will be at the Beverley C Club on 6 June.”

“This is a strictly all ticket affair, they will go on sale from 22 April and can be purchased from Rob Hardwick at the club.”

“At the event, there will be an opportunity for local snooker players to show their skills and also play a frame with the Whirlwind. This is subject to some conditions.”

Beverley C Club has undergone some changes in recent years. It certainly boasts the best green bays in the Town, they have also added live entertainment to their offering.

Jimmy White And John Virgo Add To An Already Packed Schedule of Entertainment

Keith added;

“We have also been holding Tribute Act Nights which have been very well supported. The most recent one was Gerry Trew as Sir Rod Stewart and was a sellout.”

“Our next Tribute night will be on Friday 5 July 2019. We have Billy West as Freddie Mercury. Billy is regarded as Europes No 1 Freddie Mercury impersonator. Tickets are already on sale and are selling quickly.”

 Keith feels the Beverley C Club is one of Beverley hidden gems. He says new members are always welcome to join to make use of their fantastic facilities.

He said;

“Apart from entertainment, we also believe that the C Club is the best snooker venue in the region. With five full-size tables that are well looked after by Rob and his team.”

“Our tables are always in first class condition for our members and also the numerous teams which play in the local leagues.”

 “The C Club also enjoys the benefit of Sky Sport and BT Sport showing all of the top sporting events in comfortable surroundings. We also have a  wide range of Draught Beers, Lagers and Cider available.”

 “As always we welcome new members to the C Club. On Saturday 18 May we are hosting one of our Open Days. This takes place from 11.30AM to 2-30PM and is an ideal chance for people to have a look around.”
