Newly crowned champions Beverley ARLC will welcome to Dewsbury Celtic to the Beverley Leisure Centre this afternoon with the sides going head to head in what will be a live televised game.
Beverley’s game will be shown on the channel ‘Freesports’ from 3PM in partnership with Rugby AM bringing the grassroots game to viewers across the Europe.
FreeSports being at the game and broadcasting the match means the Beverley mean that 18 million will have access to the live game presenting a real opportunity for the champions.
Head Coach Scott Taylor has little to worry about when it comes to his selection as he goes into this game with a full squad to pick from on what is a massive day for the club.
Beverley, who clinched the title last weekend at home by beating Millom now have their eyes on completing their campaign unbeaten.
Dewsbury will have their work cut out if they are to get anything out of this match. Beverley have won all their home games this season and only drawn twice, and have already beaten Dewsbury 28-12 in the reverse fixture back in May,
With the TV cameras in town, the club have put on additional games and also live entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
Ahead of the main match the junior sections of Beverley and Dewsbury will play an exhibition while the Beverley Church Lads and Church Girls Brigade will also be performing.
Club officials are hoping for a big crowd and are urging the people of Beverley to get along, support the team and enjoy what will be a celebration of rugby league in the town.
The Juniors will get under way at 2PM with the first team taking to the field and kicking off at the later time of 3.05PM to accommodate the TV schedulers.
