A new eatery will open for business in June at the out of town retail park, Flemingate with centre manager Graham Tait saying it brings another food option to the centre.
Sumo Pan Asian will join a number of food outlets at the retail park that include Gourmet Burger Kitchen, The Firepit and Subway.
Graham says their arrival is a welcome one in the ongoing development of Flemmingate, in a statement released he said;
“Sumo Pan Asian is an excellent addition to Flemingate and brings yet another new eating option to the centre. In fact, it will be unique in Beverley in offering a pan Asian menu and the choice to eat in or take away.”
“We’re delighted to welcome yet another investment to continue the growth and evolution of the centre as a retail and leisure destination.”
“We’re also pleased to add another growing local business to our line-up of independent outlets. We feel we’ve got a really good balance of big national names and entrepreneurial local and regional brands.”
The news comes just days after another local business won their battle with the council to open a cafe in the town.
Concerns have been growing for some time over the number of food based outlets popping up in the Beverley with some saying it is diluting the retail offering.
Sumo Pan Asian, who provide a street food menu say they are looking forward to coming to Beverley saying they feel Flemingate providing footfall from workers, local people and shoppers.
Sumo Pan Asian, say they want to bring an authentic Asian street food experience to Beverley, with a modern twist and using the best local ingredients.
A Hull based firm, Sumo Pan Asian’s arrival in Beverley will be their second venue with the first being located on Newland Avenue.
