Beverley Town Football Club have moved into second place in the Humber Premier League after they eased to a 5-0 win over Hornsea Town at The Balk.

A hat-trick from Craig Muirhead and goals from Alex Stark and completed a good say work for Rich Jagger’s side who made it back to back wins in the league.

Beverley Town FC’s manager Rich Jagger was pleased with the day’s work, he said;

“We put in another good performance against Hornsea Town. It was hard to single anyone out, but Craig Muirhead being skipper today and getting a hatrick was excellent.”

“The lads at the back did well, had his best game for a long time, and Stu Oliver and ran the midfield.”

“We have another tough game midweek at Cranny against , but the lads are full of confidence and we hope to put a bit of a run together.”
Muirhead ‘s hat-trick include two spot kicks and smart finish from close range following some good build up play by Beverley.

Over all Beverley could have made this result even more comfortable though were guilty of missing opportunities, including a Joe Norton header from just 5 yards out.

Town return to action on Tuesday evening when they take on who just two points behind Town in the table after three games.

Victory would see Beverley move to in Humber Premier League, ahead of early leaders Reckitts AFC, though town would have played two more games.

Elsewhere in the Humber Premier League, Walkington claimed a point as they drew 2-2 with Pocklington. Luke Thompson and Dean Windass both finding the net for the home side.
