Tesco Beverley Co-Ordinates Community Litter Pick

Tesco’s store is working in partnership with the East Riding of Yorkshire Council to organise a community litter pick on Tuesday 27th October.

The litter pick is to be held in the vicinity of Tesco’s store at 2pm on Tuesday 27th October.

David Ryley, Tesco’s Community Champion, is appealing for local residents and businesses to join in this community initiative. He said:

‘‘Beverley is a beautiful town and just an hour or so of your time on the 27th will make it even more attractive for residents and visitors alike. Tesco is delighted to be working with the council in an initiative that will benefit our local community and we hope to see as many people as possible on the 27th.’’

Volunteers are requested to meet at the Tesco store entrance (car park side) at 2pm where a full briefing will be given. Please note that volunteers are requested to wear sturdy shoes and gardening gloves.

The litter pick is also being supported by Beverley Town Council and Councillor Peter Astell, Mayor of Beverley, will be taking part. Several local community groups have also committed to support the event.
