Going into Saturday’s fixture against Driffield Beverley are in a buoyant mood after defeating Sutton at the Norwood Recreation Ground last week, a recent run of good form as seen the third team becoming a real contenders at the right end of the table.
Pressure is building in the league too with only 30 points between the top five teams, another win this weekend will keep the positive momentum going and pressure on the clubs around Beverley.
Speaking ahead of the match vice captain Alex Nightingale said;
“Again the team is a changed outfit this week, this is due to the clubs bowling issues.”
Beverley will be boosted by the return of a couple of their regulars to the side for the match with Driffield. Both Alex Nightingale and James Broekhuizen make their return after missing last week’s fixture.
Nightingale who has been in terrific form with both the bat and ball added;
“It’s another really important game for us this week with it being really tight at the top, we can’t afford to take our foot of the gas.”
“Driffield ‘s back pitch is a small ground so it should make for a great afternoons entertainment.”
Any sort of positive result will see Beverley rise further in the table. With the top two sides, Humbleton and Hessle playing each other Saturday could potentially see a really shake up at top of the league.
