Cherry Burton’s Skipper Stew Scott ‘Impressed’ With Tom Davies

skipper says he is looking to Tom Davies to maintain his form going into their game this weekend against Hessle.

Scott was speaking ahead of his sides weekend fixture that will see Hessle visit the Cherry Burton
Pavilion this Saturday.

Speaking to HU17.net Scott said;

“I have been very impressed with Davies form this season. Last week we got a glimpse of his talent as an all round cricketer as he got both wickets and runs.”

Cherry go into the game in good spirits after they won all 30 points in their previous game against Hull CC last week.

Scott feels his side have hit form at the right time and is confident they can not only score runs but also take wickets as a team.

He added;

“In this form of the game you can score as many runs as you like but if have weak bowlers and cannot take wickets then all you will do is draw.”

“We are improving game on game and have a very good bowling attack that not can take wickets but we can put pressure on our opponents but making it difficult for them to score.”

“On Saturday I am confident there will be plenty in the pitch for the likes of David Butt to attack Hessle and get us the ten wickets we need to win the game.”

“During the winter we as a club had some sessions with a pro cricketer and I think we are really starting to benefit from the work we did with them.”

“The confidence is high in the dressing room and to say we are looking forward to getting out there this weekend would be an understatement.”

“The weather suggests the conditions will be ideal for cricket so we have no excuses, I am very confident we can secure another win.”
