From Little Acorns Business Event Is A Sell Out

An inspirational event for people to put their questions to some of the region’s most successful business owners has sold out.

From Little Acorns… will feature representatives from four East Yorkshire businesses, Mr Moo’s, Get Extra, GOLGV Training Services and Wold Top Brewery and will be held at Beverley Art Gallery on Tuesday, 17 March, from 6-8.30pm.

Co-hosted by and ProVerb (The Professional Voice of East Riding Businesses), the event will see the businesses discuss their experiences of business growth and will feature video footage summarising each company’s journey to success followed by a question and answer session, giving guests the opportunity to hear first-hand accounts of their owners’ experiences. The event also includes special guest and compere Kate Sweeting from Look North.

Councillor , cabinet portfolio holder for economy, investment and inequalities at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said:

“The council is delighted to be hosting this free event with ProVerb and that the tickets have been snapped up so quickly, highlighting just how much of an appetite there is for such business engagement activity.”

“By hosting events with highly-knowledgeable and inspirational guest speakers, the council aims to provide a forum where small businesses can access practical advice and support, which is vital in helping them flourish and prosper.”

Kate Crawford, owner of consultancy and services company, Clear ComPosition, added:

“Following the immensely positive feedback from our first event in Driffield last June, we’re delighted that our second event has been fully booked so quickly. We’re all looking forward to it and hope that everyone who attends enjoys the evening and leaves feeling motivated and inspired.”

Working with ProVerb and other organisations, the council will look to host more business events throughout the year.
