Beverley Building Society announces Its New Finance Director

Beverley Building Society has this week announced the appointment of its new Finance Director. Formerly of WorldPay, Janet Bedford commenced the role this month.

A Chartered Accountant for 18 years with ‘Big 5’ training from Touche Ross (now Deloitte), Ms Bedford has joined the Beverley from global payment processing company, WorldPay where she spent 12 years at its Harrogate office. Of her move to Beverley Building Society, Janet says:

“Having spent 12 years with a global business, my desire was to join a smaller organisation to get involved with its strategic development. Beverley Building Society presented a fantastic opportunity to play a part in the higher level decision process.”

Janet is the first female executive director at Beverley Building Society and understood to be the first female finance director at a Yorkshire based building society.
