Beverley Integrated Transport Plan Sees Temporary Road Closure Of Lincoln Way

would like to advise residents, motorists and the travelling public that , Beverley, will be subject to a temporary road closure, from Tuesday, 22 April until the summer, as construction of the Beverley Southern Relief Road (BSRR) continues.

Part of Lincoln Way will close to all vehicles, ensuring the safety of road users and the construction team, to allow the council’s contractor to construct the section of the BSRR between the existing Victoria Road Roundabout and the new Lincoln Way Roundabout.

A diversion route will be signposted along the A164 Victoria Road and Woodmansey Mile. Access to/from Lincoln Way will be via Woodmansey Mile during the temporary road closure.

Officers from the construction team have undertaken a letter drop to residents and businesses affected and will also endeavour to speak to them directly to address any queries and assist with any special requirements.

The BSRR will run from the A164 Victoria Road roundabout around the south of Beverley to the A1174 Hull Road and is part of the £22 million Beverley Integrated Transport Plan (BITP), which is anticipated to be complete by early 2015.

The council would like to thank residents, motorists and the travelling public for their patience and understanding whilst the works are carried out, which, when complete, will help reduce congestion and improve traffic flows in the town.
