Local musicians showed their continued support for Macmillan Cancer Care by raising over £400 for the charity by holding an open mic night at the Beaver Pub.

An open mic night held at the Beaver Pub raised over £250 for the J9 Foundation, a charity formed by Joost van der Westhuizen in aid of those suffering from Motor Neuron Disease.
There’s an open mic night at the Beaver Pub on Tuesday April 2nd, starting at 8pm. The event is in aid of The J9 Foundation, set up by the legendary South African rugby star, Joost van der Westhuizen to raise awareness of Motor Neuron Disease, and to raise funds for research into a cure.
The Beaver Pub hosted a successful Open Mic Night on Tuesday evening. Jointly organised by Graeme Jones, Rob Lever and Sam Oxley close to £200 was raised on the night for Cancer Research UK.
