Successful Fund-Raising for the FERYO

The Friends of East Riding Youth Orchestras held two very successful fund-raising events in Beverley just before Christmas.  A total of £328 was collected during two hours of busking at the Tesco store on Saturday 18th December, and on Wednesday 22nd December a magnificent total of £1,594 was raised during an all day playing and bag-packing session at Morrisons. £750,000 Music Centre Opened in Beverley

Councillor David Rudd, the Chairman of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, opened a new £750,000 music education centre in Beverley today. The Hexagon Centre, located on Coltman Avenue, represents a significant investment by the council to improve the music facilities for East Riding children and the schools’ music service. Music @ Wassand Hall

Around 300 people were treated to a wonderful concert on the afternoon of Sunday 11th July in the grounds of Wassand Hall near Hornsea, by the East Riding Senior and Intermediate Wind Bands, the East Riding Youth Jazz Orchestra and the East Riding Percussion Ensemble.
