Karen Holmes celebrated her 50th birthday at Armstrongs Social Club. Some of the guests turned out in some colourful outfits while there was live entertainment from local band Reloaded.
Armstrong Social Club hosted a Rock and Roll Night. The evening is a regular monthly music event, and this week saw a local band Jive Express play a string of hits from times gone by. The dance floor was crowded by dancers dressed for the occasion as the band rocked the room with songs from the likes of Johnny Tillotson, Dion and the Belmonts and, of course, Elvis Presley. A 60’s and 70’s disco was held at the Armstrong Social Club this Friday to raise money for the MNDA (Motor Neurone Disease Association).
