Speaking to Hu17.net about the move, Phil Trevarrow, a director in the business said;
“Beverley has an excellent reputation as being a traditional, safe, friendly, prospective town, which precisely match our own business values.”
“It is because of this why we believe Ashley Phillips Ltd will provide a valuable service to the ‘High Street’ in the town.”
“We have clients all around the Yorkshire region and, not only is Beverley a central point for this, and is the most local town to where we have been based, is a lovely market town and will be a privilege to work here.”
Moving to the town centre they also hope they can plug the gap that is being created as high street banks reduce staff, services and close branches.
Mr. Trevarrow added;
“Most of the banks have reduced the numbers of branch based advisers. There is a great need, and demand for face-to-face financial advice for the general public, so being based close to where the general public used to go for advice made sense.”
“Beverley was a place where we always intended to trade from, but getting the right property was key. We are taking over the Grays & Co office, who are simply moving their operations upstairs.”
