East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Humber and Wolds Rural Community Council (HWRCC) are offering free membership for the first year to the first 100 households who sign up to the new bulk-buying heating oil scheme.
Household members usually pay an annual membership fee of £20 to contribute towards covering the cost of administration for the scheme.
The scheme, launched this month, aims to save its members money on their heating oil bills by taking advantage of joint buying power. Orders are placed monthly and members are able to order as often as they like.
To become a member, simply complete a membership form and return to HWRCC. Interested residents can download a membership form from the website or contact by telephone to receive a form by post.

Community buildings (£30 annual membership fee) and businesses (£100 annual membership fee) are also eligible to join the YORSwitch Cheaper Heating Oil Together Scheme.
