Molescroft FC were narrowly beaten by Barham Boys at Longcroft School as they got their new season under way.
In a close match, a single second half goal was the only difference between the sides and nearly sneaked a point though their effort was ruled out as offside.
Coach Glynn Lockyer was delighted with the performance of the team praising keeper Danny Hadfield, who performed well in goal.
Lockyer said;
“It was not the result we were wanted, but I am very happy with the quality of the football, the attitude and a the over-all performance of the team.”
