College Girls Claim Narrow Victory At Longcroft

With just two games remaining the all girls team are closing in on promotion in their first season in the boys league but under current rules will not go up a division.

Paul Smith from Hull College said;

“They have done really well this season, half of the gilrs playing are a Under 12s and playing above their age group.”

“If they win the league we are unable to move up a division as currently girls sides are only allowed to play in the Hull Sunday Boys Football League upto U13s.”

Hull College lost its Centre of Excellence status last year, since then players have gone to other acadamies with some joining Beverley Clubs including Mill Lane United who are dominating football in the region.

The sides meet again next week in the league giving Pinefleet a chance to avenge the single goal defeat.
