Winless Rochdale Next Up For Beverley RUFC

Bottom of the table Rochdale are the visitors to Beaver Park on Saturday for the National League 3(North) match between the two struggling sides.

Although they are now third from the bottom of the table, Beverley are a far better team than their league position suggests, but they cannot continue to rely on that theoretical analysis. They must start to put together a winning run to back up the theory and Saturday brings the perfect opportunity. Rochdale are firmly anchored at the bottom of the table without a win in 8 matches and having shipped a massive 310 points whilst only scoring 90.

Having said that, Rochdale will be no pushover since they invariably compete very strongly and had a very commendable result last Saturday going down to neighbours by only 8 points.

When one considers the ease with which Rossendale despatched Beverley at Beaver Park two weeks ago, there can be no room for complacency in the Beavers camp. Indeed, Saturday is a must win game for Beverley, preferably with 5 points.

Influential skipper is absent, resting his long term wrist injury, but the Beaver’s, nevertheless, are in a position to field a strong line-up.

is fit to return at No 8 to replace Dave Worrall and Tony Riby-French returns at open side wing forward after his absence with concussion last week. Wingers and also return, to give the back line an altogether stronger look.
