Beverley RUFC All Set for Start of New League Season

Beverley RUFC embark upon their League campaign for this season with a home fixture against Liverpool side, Waterloo at Beaver Park on Saturday, kick-off 3 p.m.

Waterloo are an unknown quantity to the Beavers, this being the first clash between the clubs in anyone’s memory. They have fallen on difficult times of late having tumble down the leagues from the very top level in only a few years.

Not withstanding that, they will be keen to bounce back and a tough encounter is on the cards.

In their Yorkshire cup victory over Driffield, Beverley picked up a couple of minor injuries to Phil Dale and Gavin Gibson and Fran Pickering and Goran Jelencic are both still trying  to overcome slight back injuries. Powerful centre Richard Bussey is not available as is also centre partner Junior Tupai and selection of Saturdays squad will not be finalised until Thursday..
