3,000 Bishop Burton Students Contacted by Police

More than 3,000 students and employees are being contacted by police officers investigating the disappearance of Russell Bohling (18).

Russell Bohling (18), from West Ella, near Hull, and also Ravenscar, North Yorkshire, was last seen by his family on Tuesday 02 March 2010.

Russell is described as white, around 5ft 8ins tall, with a medium build and short, straight, brown coloured hair. He was last seen wearing a black coloured Ben Sherman jacket, blue coloured jeans and black coloured leather trainers.

The officer leading the missing person investigation Det Insp Colin Waddington said: “It is now three months since Russell disappeared. Russell has not been found despite extensive searches and enquiries.

“Our main aim is to find him and it is vital the public continue to assist with the investigation by calling us with any information connected to Russell, however small they might consider it.

“As a part of ongoing investigations, numerous CCTV enquiries and physical searches have been carried out inside and outside the region. This has included the filming of a nationwide television appeal, and numerous interviews – including those conducted by a team of officers who spent a week speaking to pupils and staff at Bishop Burton College.

“We will continue to pursue each and every line of enquiry that I believe may assist us in determining exactly what happened to Russell and where he might be.”

Police are still appealing for help trying to establish the movements of Russell on Saturday 27 February between 1635hrs and 2130hrs when he left in his car and returned without letting his parents know where he had been.  He had recently visited York, Bradford and Bridlington and officers would like to speak to anyone who may have seen him in these places or knew why he had travelled there.

Police are also re-appealing to anyone who may have been at Bempton Cliffs car park at around 1120hrs on Tuesday 02 March 2010 when Russell bought the parking ticket found in his car.

Going missing is totally out of character for Russell and his family are very concerned for his safety.

Officers have been at Bempton Cliffs speaking to members of the public and will be in the area again on Wednesday 02 June seeking anyone who may have information about Russell.

Russell or anyone who may have knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to contact the Police on 0845 60 60 222.
