A fund raising group came up with an original fund raising idea for some much needed modernisation.
Committee members of the St Paul’s Church, Tickton, invited members of the public to bring any spare change to the church for the fundraiser. The coins were then used to create a line of coins that covered a mile.
The coins were laid out on the path all the way through the church to the alter. Money raised on the day will be used to fund much needed toilet facilities.

We got over 800 yards (nearly half a mile) with coins and made nearly £1500, including donations on the day. If the amount donated in cheques and paper money had been available in coin, we would have easily achieved the mile (though we would have run out of space!). Thanks to all who supported the event which was fun all day!
