Beverley Skate Park has been looking a bit tired recently and the young people have been eager to do something about it.Indeed only a matter of weeks ago young people who used the skate park rolled up their sleves to clear Beverley Skate Park of litter.
Supported by Beverley Town Councils Detached Youth Team and Beverley Open Doors Community Project the young people applied to the Youth Capital Fund (YCF) for some money to change the fencing and bring a new piece of equipment to the Skate Park.
Just before Christmas the young people attended a panel meeting and were successful at obtaining the funds, a total of £14,019.39. They are looking forward to overseeing some of the changes and are also considering the best way to tackle the graffiti on the site.
